The Isometric
Concept Sketches
A comfort-inspired modular chair designed for sitting with folded legs for extended periods. It comes with four removable cushions. The front cushion can be moved to the back, creating a setup with one cushion in the front and three at the back. This arrangement helps reduce pressure on the legs and prevents them from going numb.

Making Prototype
The chair was made entirely from scratch, beginning with the fabrication of its metal framework in the workshop. Using our metalworking skills, we measured, cut, welded, and finished the steel sections to create a strong and stable base structure. The process involved careful shaping, grinding, and assembling of the frame to achieve the desired form and support for the chair. This hands-on making process allowed us to transform the concept into a functional prototype, combining craftsmanship, precision, and practical problem-solving at every stage.

The Final Design

To evaluate the chair, participants were invited to sit on the prototype and share their feedback based on comfort, posture, and overall sitting experience. The testing focused on how well the chair supported cross-legged sitting for longer durations, while also assessing the effectiveness of the modular cushion arrangement. Observing different users helped us understand how the chair adapted to varied body types and sitting preferences, and their responses provided valuable insights into leg support, back comfort, and ease of use. This feedback played an important role in identifying areas for refinement and improving the final design.
